Introduction

Petroleum & Natural Resources Division was created in April 1977. Prior to that Petroleum and Natural Resources was part of the Ministry of Fuel, Power and Natural Resources.

Mission Statement

To ensure availability and security of sustainable supply of oil and gas for economic development and strategic requirements of Pakistan and to coordinate development of natural resources of energy and minerals.

Chinese oil and Gas companies have expressed deep interest to make contribution in the oil and Gas sector of Pakistan to cater the growing demand of the country. The interest was shown by the representatives from private and public sector oil and gas companiesof China who participated in the workshop on Pakistan-China cooperation in the field of oil and Gas sector held in Islamabad.
